Oil  filter  used  in  engine  to  prevent  foreign  object  to  enter  engine  lubrication  system.  Engine  delicate  parts,   needs  constant  lubrication  at  engine  running  condition,  and for  this  purpose  oil  filter  is required.  Oil  filter  ensures  safe  and  long  life  of  engine  parts.  This  also  save  the  cost  of  operation  and  malfunction  of  engine.  Also  by  examine  the  filter,   engine  health  can  be  assured,  if  excessive  wear  and  tear  happens  in  engine  parts,  filter  residue  and color  indicates this  also.

Regular  interval  of  inspection  needed  for  these  oil  filter  and  for  this,  removal  of  filter  necessary  from  engine.  But  filter  typical  installation   in  groove,  needs  special  tools  to  remove  them  and  refit  them  in  position.

The  special  tools  as shown  in  picture  consists of

 a  cylinder,  a  finger  rotate  wheel,  a  long  bolt,  and  a  serrated  bolt  push  fit  groove.   Cylinder  holds  the  oil  filter  to  be  removed,  bolt  goes  inside  the  filter  center  up to    the  end.  Now  when  bolt  thread  is  tighten,  it  flair  up  the  serrated   groove  and  hold  the  filter  end.  Next  step  is  tighten  the  cylinder  firmly  against  the  filter  body  by  moving  finger  wheel  inside.  This  process  safely  removes  the  filter  without  damage  in  the  filter  body.  Filter  is  checked, cleaned  properly  and  refit  in  proper  position  of  engine.  If  required  it  can  be  replaced  with  new  one.
